Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with household tasks including cleaning and laundry.
• Support skill development such as shopping, cooking, and transport arrangements.
• Provide transport to appointments and/or shopping.
• Encourage social and community participation and engagement.

Disability Support Worker - Brisbane Southside

We are seeking Reliable, Enthusiastic, Motivated and Professional Disability Support Workers inthe South Brisbane area.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play an important part in assisting people to achieve their goals as specified in their NDIS plan.

As a Disability Support Worker and respected ambassador of McArthur you will be required to assist people with:

• Household tasks - household cleaning and laundry
• Skill development - shopping, cooking, catching public transport
• Transport - transport to appointments and/or shopping
• Social & Community participation - engage in the community, meet people.

Applicants must have:

• Right to work in Australia
• Relevant Industry experience
• Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability Cert IV or equivalent
• Current Working with children blue card and NDIS workers screening check
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
• Current Manual Handling Certificate and Medication Certificate
• Valid Driver's License, reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance

Training credentials in Complex Care, for example - Bowel Care, Peg Feeding, Dementia and Mental Health would be highly regarded.
