Job summary

Lyndhurst Secondary College in Cranbourne North, VIC, is seeking an Inclusion Support role within Education Support – Range 2. You will assist students with learning in collaboration with teaching staff and contribute to a safe, inclusive school environment.

The role supports students across learning areas, including those with diverse needs, and includes preparing resources and modelling best practices in classroom support. Induction and ongoing professional development are provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in groups under the classroom teacher.
• Facilitate communication between students and teachers, including interpreting instructions.
• Provide basic physical and emotional care for students.
• Assist with toileting, meals, lifting and administration of medication when required.
• Support an inclusive environment and assist non-verbal students as needed.
• Support students in applied learning programs and those with behaviours of concern.
• Supervise students to ensure safety inside and outside the classroom, on grounds, camps and excursions.
• Prepare student resources and equipment; prepare simple curriculum support resources.
• Observe students and inform the teacher of relevant learning and behavioural issues.
• Participate in monitoring and evaluating student involvement and achievement.
