Qualifications

• A demonstrated interest in working with young people.
• High level communication skills with a range of individuals.
• Knowledge of Department of Education policies related to Inclusion.
• Proficiency in literacy and numeracy.
• Experience in Education Support or Certificate IV in Education Support.
• Ability to navigate unexpected challenges with flexibility and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of a Learning Inclusion program for students with an IEP.
• Assist students individually or in small groups.
• Support instructional programs.
• Assist with communication between students and teachers.
• Observe students and report observations to the teacher.
• Prepare and submit notes of observations and wellbeing.
• Provide basic care for students.
• Contribute to evaluation of programs and student progress.
• Liaise with parents, teachers and the community.
• Prepare curriculum resources and materials as required.
• Undertake administrative tasks and attend meetings.
• Utilise Compass, Google Suite, MS Office, and iPads as needed.
• Collaborate with Inclusion Team and school staff.
• Participate in annual performance reviews.
• Undertake other duties relevant to responsibility as required.
