Job summary

Berendsen Fluid Power in Wollongong is seeking a Business Development Engineer to blend technical expertise with sales growth. You’ll build relationships across the Illawarra, uncover new opportunities, and understand hydraulic needs to deliver the right solution for cylinders, power units, or complete systems.

You’ll own and grow the customer base, win new business, and collaborate with engineering and workshop teams to ensure feasibility and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fluid power, hydraulics, or related engineering fields.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of identifying opportunities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Engineering qualification or trade background.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow the customer base across Wollongong, hunting new business and managing accounts.
• Collaborate with clients to understand technical requirements and deliver fluid power solutions.
• Develop relationships across industries such as steel, mining, manufacturing and transport.
• Prepare quotes, proposals and technical documentation for clients.
