Job summary

Hydraulic Distributors is seeking a technically capable Graduate Engineer in Australia to identify new business opportunities and support the design, sale and delivery of product sales and engineering projects. This hands-on role moves between customer discussions, technical problem-solving, quoting and project coordination, with site visits as a key component.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers to develop engineering solutions, manage projects through to completion and

Qualifications

Minimum Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
Strong mechanical and engineering fundamentals.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costing.

Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new product sales and projects across market sectors.
Build and maintain relationships with engineers, project managers, contractors and procurement teams.
Meet with customers to understand requirements and identify opportunities.
Review specifications and determine suitable repair, modification, upgrade or new-build solutions.
Develop engineering concepts and contribute to system design.
Prepare drawings, specifications and supporting technical documentation.
Produce project estimates, costings, quotations and technical proposals.
Manage awarded projects from planning to completion with defined deliverables.
