Job summary

Eastern Automation, an established Australian engineering business within the HI Fraser Group, seeks a National Business Development Engineer in Williamstown, SA. You will drive revenue growth by developing new opportunities and expanding relationships with industrial and OEM customers.

You will translate applications into practical hydraulic solutions, partner with internal teams to tailor proposals, and own the sales cycle from initial contact to project completion.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development, technical sales or applications engineering.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, components and applications.
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial awareness and a track record of converting opportunities into revenue.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow a pipeline of new and existing accounts.
• Build strong relationships with industrial, OEM and engineering customers.
• Conduct technical consultations and identify customer requirements.
• Prepare and present technical proposals, quotations and solution recommendations.
• Work closely with engineering and applications teams to develop tailored solutions.
• Manage sales opportunities from initial engagement through to project completion.
• Achieve revenue and profitability objectives.
• Represent the business at customer sites, trade events and industry functions.
