Job summary

Centacare in Brisbane is seeking an experienced HR Advisor for a six‑month contract. This hands‑on generalist role supports managers, handles day‑to‑day people matters and ensures HR processes are fair and professional.

You will advise on employee relations, performance, and organisational change while coordinating documentation and next steps. You’ll work with the People & Culture team, with scope to deepen advisory capability and contribute to HR projects in a flexible, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HR Advisor or generalist with advisory exposure.
• Knowledge of modern Awards, enterprise agreements and employment legislation.
• Ability to prepare clear HR documentation and communicate with managers.
• Demonstrated confidentiality and sound judgement in handling sensitive matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HR advice and support to managers and employees across employee relations, performance, and workplace change.
• Assist with disciplinary processes, investigations and documentation.
• Draft correspondence, letters and HR records with attention to accuracy and timeliness.
• Support onboarding, offboarding and lifecycle activities as required.
• Contribute to learning, leadership and organisational development initiatives.
