Job summary

UNSW IT is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a full-time continuing role based in Kensington, Sydney. The position offers hybrid work with 2–3 days in the office and a starting salary of A$132,445 plus generous superannuation and leave loading.

The role collaborates with stakeholders across the University to analyse business needs, define system requirements, and support delivery, operations, and improvement of business systems, particularly in student services.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Extensive experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a related role in a complex environment.
Experience gathering requirements, process analysis, and solution delivery with ownership of outcomes.

Responsibilities

Lead stakeholder engagement to understand business challenges and translate into outputs.
Analyse and document business processes for optimisation and better system use.
Lead functional analysis for assigned systems and develop knowledge of capabilities.
Drive solution design with technical teams to align with business needs.
Plan and strategize system and integration testing activities, including test design and defect management.
Perform data analysis to support reporting and decision-making.
Maintain key documentation including requirements and process flows.
Mentor and support associate analysts and contribute to capability uplift.
