Job summary

University of New South Wales (UNSW) is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to partner with stakeholders across the university to analyse business needs, define system requirements, and support delivery and improvement of student services systems.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Extensive experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a related role in a complex environment.
• Experience with requirements gathering, process analysis, functional analysis, and solution support.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder engagement to understand business challenges, gather requirements, and translate them into outputs.
• Analyse and document business processes, identify opportunities for optimisation and better system utilisation.
• Lead functional analysis for assigned systems and develop knowledge of capabilities and dependencies.
• Drive solution design with technical teams to ensure alignment with business needs.
• Plan and orchestrate system and integration testing activities, including test design and defect management.
