Job summary

Melbourne Racing Club is seeking an Application Support Officer to join the Platforms team on a full-time basis. You will provide hands-on support for systems used daily and contribute to improvements across the organisation, including on race days.

Reporting to the Head of Platforms, you will support a range of applications, troubleshoot issues, and help with upgrades and new technology rollouts. Ideal for IT early-career professionals with strong problem-solving and people skills.

Qualifications

• Qualification in IT or Information Systems or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience in a Level 1 IT Administration or Application Support role.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/SharePoint).
• Exposure to Business Central, POS, Power BI or Salesforce is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Customer-focused approach with attention to detail and prioritisation.
• Willingness to learn new systems and AI/automation.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level support, troubleshooting and user training across key business systems.
• Log, triage and resolve support requests within agreed timeframes; manage user access.
• Perform raceday and event-day system checks and basic troubleshooting.
• Support Microsoft Copilot and other AI tools across the business.
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors on upgrades and UAT; gather feedback.
• Create and maintain how-to guides and knowledge resources.
• Contribute to projects and improvements to enhance system usability.
