Job summary

Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join the IT team on a full-time basis. You will provide hands-on technical support across MRC and its associated businesses, managing devices, accounts, and Microsoft 365 services across multiple offices and venues.

The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues, supporting POS and event technology, and contributing to tech projects and upgrades. Drivers licence required for on-site support.

Qualifications

• An IT qualification or equivalent hands-on experience in a Service Desk, Desktop Support or IT Support role.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and workplace technology environments.
• Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, device deployment and endpoint management.
• Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, user provisioning and access management.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot and modern device management concepts.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, VPNs and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to resolving technical issues.
• Experience supporting POS, AV, hospitality or event technology environments advantageous.
• Driver's Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical support to users across MRC's racecourse and venues both in person and remotely.
• Installing, configuring and supporting Windows and Mac devices, POS systems, printers, phones and other IT technology.
• Supporting and administering Microsoft 365 services including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange and Intune.
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, network and connectivity issues.
• Supporting POS and event technology across MRC's venues and racecourses, including raceday and event support.
• Managing user accounts, onboarding activities, device deployments and access through Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Assisting with technology projects, system upgrades, hardware refreshes and continuous improvement initiatives.
