Job summary

Sea Swift is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support safety management systems and compliance across depots and marine vessels. The role involves frequent travel to North Queensland locations and on-board operations, reporting to the Health and Safety Manager.

You will drive risk-based strategies, audits, KPI tracking, incident investigations, and stakeholder engagement to foster a strong safety culture across the business.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Health and Safety.
• Experience in health, safety and environment in a heavy industry environment; marine experience is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles.
• Knowledge of current Health & Safety practices and legislation.
• Experience facilitating investigations (ICAM or similar).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Approachable demeanor and ability to engage multiple stakeholder groups.
• Ability to prepare high-quality written reports.
• High-level computer skills and self-motivation.
• Good judgement and decision-making under adverse conditions.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous HSE improvement across depots and marine vessels.
• Deliver risk-based HSE strategies and support risk reviews.
• Conduct audits and reviews to identify safety improvements.
• Track safety KPIs, identify hotspots and drive actions.
• Lead and support incident investigations.
• Engage stakeholders and drive safety initiatives.
• Monitor compliance with legislation and identify improvement opportunities.
• Coach front-line workers in HSE management.
• Maintain a highly visible presence at depots and vessels.
