Job summary

CDC Regional NSW is seeking a proactive HSEQ Advisor to support the Ballina, Coffs Harbour and Queanbeyan depots. The role reports to the RNSW General Manager with a dotted line to the HSEQ General Manager.

You will interpret WHS legislation, develop risk assessments, facilitate audits, monitor health and safety documentation, and drive policy improvements while engaging with depot teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting, advising and applying WHS legislation.
• Working knowledge of WHS and industry best practices, and Work Health & Safety.
• Experience in the writing/development of risk assessments.
• Experience with facilitating WHS audits & inspections.
• Ability to monitor and review health & safety documentation, practices for compliance with policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and implement change.
• Skilled to investigate, research and analyse information to create policy and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, advise on, and apply WHS legislation across Regional NSW.
• Develop and review risk assessments and safety documents.
• Facilitate WHS audits and inspections.
• Monitor compliance with policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
• Influence and implement safety improvements.
• Investigate and analyse information to inform policy changes.
