Job summary

G-P, the Global Employment Platform, is seeking an HR Specialist for ANZ to own the full employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance and advising on HR matters for clients during a 1-year maternity cover.

Based in Australia, you will partner with payroll, benefits brokers, and HR legal advisors; stay ahead of labour laws, and handle immigration/mobility with Global Mobility. This role requires 3+ years HR experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR experience.
• Deep expertise of labour laws and Australian employment legislation (Fair Work, Modern Awards).
• Experience supporting complex employee relations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Tech-savvy with HRIS, Zendesk, Jira, Confluence, Tableau, and collaboration tools like Zoom & Slack.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR contact for onboarding and lifecycle events across Australia.
• Manage complex employee relations and draft documentation.
• Build and manage relationships with payroll providers, benefits brokers, and HR legal advisors.
• Provide in-country HR consultation on benefits, compliance and workforce planning.
• Stay ahead of ANZ labour laws and cultural nuances.
• Review employment contracts and advise on risk mitigation.
• Support immigration and mobility with Global Mobility team.
• Drive automation and process optimization for HR.
• Lead compliance governance projects across ANZ.
