Job summary

Orro is seeking an HR Business Partner to join the Melbourne-based People & Culture team on a 12-month fixed term contract. You will be the first port of call for leaders, teams and office staff, guiding on policy and practice while supporting day-to-day HR operations.

The role covers onboarding, employee relations, and HR lifecycle activities in a hybrid setup with three days in the Melbourne office. A strong HRIS background is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in HR Coordinator, HR Generalist or HR Business Partner roles.
• Solid knowledge of employment legislation and HR policy in practice.
• Familiarity with the HR lifecycle including onboarding and organisational change.
• Strong stakeholder focus and high level of service.
• Hands-on HRIS experience and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage Melbourne office day-to-day including WHS and a welcoming environment.
• Guide leaders on P&C policy and practice, and support managers with employee relations matters.
• Coordinate P&C initiatives and organisational change, including restructures.
• Oversee onboarding for new starters and ensure a strong start.
• Support the HR lifecycle including performance, engagement, rewards and wellbeing.
• Maintain HRIS and reporting, track staff movements and share insights with the business.
