Job summary

Perigon Group, Brisbane-based professional services organisation, is seeking an HR Advisor to build a solid foundation in a complex business and to develop trusted stakeholder relationships while delivering hands-on HR advisory support under the Head of HR.

In the first 12–18 months you will learn the business, its people and operations, supporting projects and everyday HR activities, with a pathway toward a Business Partner role and exposure to a Workday implementation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar generalist HR position.
• Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Experience managing employment contracts, variations and general HR documentation.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive, curious and adaptable approach, with a willingness to get involved in both operational and project‑based work.
• A genuine interest in developing your commercial HR capability and progressing towards business partnering.

Responsibilities

• Providing day‑to‑day HR advice and guidance to managers and stakeholders across the business.
• Preparing and managing employment contracts, variations, amendments and associated documentation.
• Supporting the Head of HR across a broad range of operational and strategic people initiatives.
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and developing an understanding of their business needs.
• Contributing to HR process improvements and ensuring accurate, consistent people practices.
• Gaining valuable exposure to an upcoming Workday implementation project.
