Job summary

Sweet By Nature is seeking an experienced Human Resource Adviser in Melbourne, VIC. The role reports to the HR Manager and covers recruitment, staff induction, HRIS administration, and workplace relations advice to management.

The successful candidate will manage records, training coordination, and compliance with the Fair Work Act and modern awards. This is a full-time, permanent position (38 hours per week) with a salary of AUD 79,600–85,000 plus super, based at West Heidelberg.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline, or 5+ years HR experience in lieu of degree.
• 2+ years in a Human Resource Adviser or similar HR generalist role.
• Experience with end-to-end recruitment, induction, and HR records.
• Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009, NES, modern awards and enterprise agreements.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and selection: record vacancies, prepare position descriptions, advertise and inform staff.
• Screen applications, conduct interviews and arrange testing/assessments.
• Induction: deliver induction and cover policies, conduct, and safety responsibilities.
• Maintain personnel records and HRIS; ensure compliance with laws and privacy.
• Provide HR advice on workplace relations, performance, and disciplinary matters.
• Support staff training, injury management, and return-to-work processes.
