Job summary

Tradewind Australia is seeking an experienced Crisis Support Worker to join our frontline Housing & Homelessness program in Gladstone, QLD. This role provides end-to-end support to clients engaged in the Homestay program, helping them secure and maintain stable tenancies and housing.

You will work closely with clients from intake through exit, addressing barriers, budgeting, and connecting them with housing services. Police check and valid QLD driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in crisis support or homelessness services.
• Strong client advocacy and case management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Budgeting and practical support for independent living.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end support from intake to exit.
• Assist clients who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
• Help clients secure, establish and maintain stable tenancies.
• Identify barriers to housing and provide tenancy advice.
• Develop and review individualised case management plans.
• Offer advocacy, information and referrals to housing services.
• Support budgeting and independent living skills.
• Maintain accurate case notes and progress updates.
