Job summary

St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland is seeking a Crisis Support Worker for the Immediate Housing Response program in Toowoomba. You will provide holistic case management, advocacy and referrals to help clients access safe housing and support services.

Permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week). Strong commitment to safeguarding, equity and diversity, and working with vulnerable populations in the Queensland community.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III in Community Services or related field (Mandatory).
• Current Blue Card (Mandatory).
• Experience as a Support Worker or in homelessness services or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end support for clients engaged through Immediate Housing Response, from intake to exit.
• Deliver holistic case management, advice, referral and advocacy using Specialist Homelessness databases.
• Assist clients who are homeless or at risk to access safe, affordable, and stable housing and support tenancies.
