Uniting in Ballarat is seeking a Mental Health Worker to provide recovery-oriented psychosocial support to people experiencing mental health challenges and homelessness. You will help clients access, secure and sustain stable housing within the Housing First framework, working with clinical services as needed to ensure timely mental health responses.

The role is part-time (60.8 hours per fortnight), a maximum term until 30 June 2028, based in Ballarat, with salary packaging benefits and

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree, Community Studies (Welfare) Social Work or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience delivering evidence based and best practice treatments for people with mental health challenges.
• Knowledge of best practices in relation to mental health treatments and legislation (Mental Health Act).
• Knowledge of the homelessness sector and supports available to people experiencing homelessness.
• Experience engaging with marginalized and disadvantaged people.
