Job summary

Wellways, based in Mildura, is seeking a Recovery Worker to support individuals in their recovery goals within the community. You will conduct initial conversations, develop action plans and deliver person-centred, trauma-informed support, including group activities and connection to peer programs and primary health services.

This permanent part-time role (3–4 days per week) requires a valid Australian driver’s license, willingness to travel between service locations, and compliance with checks.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications or commensurate experience in working in a support role for people with mental health issues.
• Current valid Driver's License and the ability to undertake travel.
• Appropriate IT skills.
• Right to Work within Australia.
• Satisfactory National Police Records Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children’s Check or willingness to obtain.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate

Responsibilities

• Complete initial conversations and assessments and develop action plans.
• Provide person-centred, trauma-informed support to participants and families.
• Facilitate group activities to build capacity and life skills; connect participants to peer support and education programs.
• Support participants to access primary health services and community resources.
• Travel between service locations as part of the role.
