Job summary

Empire Hospitality is seeking a Houseperson / Runner to support our housekeeping team in delivering world-class standards across guest floors, public areas and service spaces. You’ll work with Room Attendants and Supervisors to handle linen, amenities and equipment, respond quickly to requests, and follow WHS and safety procedures to maintain a 5-star environment.

You will contribute to a seamless guest experience, operate in a fast-paced hotel setting, and participate in rotating rosters

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping (hotel or commercial environment preferred).
• Strong physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks.
• Excellent grooming, communication, and professional presentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to 5-star service standards.
• Availability for rotating rosters, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Linen & amenity delivery — Provide timely delivery of linen, guest amenities, chemicals, and housekeeping supplies.
• Public area upkeep — Maintain corridors, lift lobbies, pantries, and back-of-house areas.
• Rubbish & recycling removal — Safely remove waste and ensure service areas remain clean and organised.
• Room attendant support — Assist with bed stripping, deep cleaning tasks, and room readiness.
• Urgent runner tasks — Respond quickly to Supervisor and Front Office requests.
• Guest service — Provide discreet, courteous assistance when interacting with guests.
• Safety & compliance — Follow WHS, chemical handling, and manual-handling procedures.
