Job summary

Accor Apartments & Realty is seeking a proactive Houseperson to support our housekeeping team in Port Douglas. You will deliver items to guest rooms, replenish linens and towels, and assist with laundering duties as needed.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, helping room attendants, public area staff, and guests while maintaining privacy and safety standards. Weekend and public holiday shifts are available, with a focus on guest satisfaction and smooth operations.

Purpose

As a Houseperson, you are a key player in our Housekeeping Team! You will be in constant motion, zipping around to assist our room and public area attendants with a flair for being everyone's go-to helper. Delivering requested items to guests' rooms, ensuring our room attendants have a steady supply of linens, towels, and amenities, and handling the collection of used linens for laundering are some key tasks of the role. Your flexibility and willingness to help make you an essential part of our team, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for our guests.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prioritise and promptly fulfil guest requests, including delivering amenities, beds, cots, blankets, and pillows, and collecting items from guest rooms as needed
• Collaborate with all members of the housekeeping team to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
• Gather used linens from guest rooms and transport to the designated appropriate area
• Assist with cleaning guest rooms and public area spaces are requested
• Handle chemicals and cleaning materials with safety, respect guest privacy and security, and promptly report maintenance issues
• Provide a welcoming service to all guests, assisting with questions, concerns, and offering precise details about our property's amenities and features
