Regional Accommodation Group, trading as The Sebel Melbourne Kew, seeks an experienced Hotel Manager to lead daily operations and enhance guest experiences. You will oversee front office, housekeeping, reservations and facilities while managing budgets, staffing and revenue strategies to maintain high standards and profitability.

This role is based at The Sebel Melbourne Kew in Kew, Victoria, with 24-hour reception support and on-site amenities.

Qualifications

• Diploma in hotel management or related discipline would be advantageous.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience in hotel management or accommodation supervision.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations including front office, reservations, housekeeping and guest services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations including front office, reception, reservations, housekeeping and guest services.
• Manage 24-hour reception operations, check-in/check-out and guest inquiries.
• Supervise, train and roster hotel staff to maintain staffing levels and standards.
• Coordinate housekeeping, room inspections and maintenance requests to ensure rooms are ready.
• Monitor occupancy, room pricing and revenue, and implement strategies to improve profitability.
• Manage reservations, inquiries, cancellations and room inventory to maximise revenue.
• Develop and monitor operating budgets, forecasts and financial performance; prepare reports.
• Oversee maintenance and presentation of guest rooms, apartments and facilities.
• Coordinate use of meeting facilities and client communications.
• Handle guest feedback and service recovery promptly and professionally.
• Ensure workplace safety, compliance and efficient resource use.
• Implement policies to improve efficiency and quality of service.
• Build relationships with guests, suppliers and partners.
• Identify opportunities to improve business performance and market position.
