Job summary

King Pty in Newcastle is seeking an experienced Hotel Manager to own hotel operations, lead a high-performing team and maintain premium service standards while driving financial performance.

You will work closely with Directors to shape strategy, manage budgets, occupancy and guest satisfaction, and oversee guest communications, housekeeping, and maintenance across the property.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management preferred but not essential.
• Proven experience in hotel or hospitality management.
• Ability to lead teams and contractors effectively and build culture.
• Strong financial acumen with budgets, forecasts and KPIs.
• Solid understanding of guest service standards and complaint handling.
• Knowledge of WHS, quality systems and compliance.
• Proficient with hotel tech platforms (PMS, EDMS, booking systems).

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality Management is preferred but not essential;
• Must have demonstrated experience in hotel or management;
• Proven ability to lead teams and contractors effectively, building positive workplace culture;
• Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasts and business performance metrics;
• Solid understanding of guest service standards, complaint management and service recovery;
• Confident in compliance management, WHS standards and quality systems;
• Proficient in hotel technology platforms (PMS, booking systems, EDMS, etc.)
