Job summary

Crystalbrook Collection in Newcastle seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the busy housekeeping team, ensuring spotless rooms and superb guest service. Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, you will manage rosters, supervise staff performance and drive high standards across all areas of operation.

You will partner with front office and maintenance to ensure smooth service, uphold WHS practices, and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Supervisory role in housekeeping operations in the hotel industry.
• Proven leadership and ability to motivate teams.
• Experience developing staff onboarding and training.
• Excellent communication and guest-service focus.
• Attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Housekeeping team to ensure effective systems and procedures.
• Monitor rosters, attendance and productivity.
• Empower individuals to develop and maintain good practices.
• Drive Rooms guest satisfaction by enabling service beyond expectations.
• Provide hands-on supervisory leadership across areas.
• Ensure WHS processes and procedures are followed.
• Collaborate with other departments for smooth service transitions.
• Assist in on-the-job department and staff training.
• Promote company health and wellbeing processes and procedures.

Role Purpose

We are looking for aHousekeeping Supervisor with a keen eye for detail and a passion for operational hotel leadership to join our team.This is a full time position and reports to our Executive Housekeeper.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Housekeeping team to ensure effective systems and operational procedures including daily checklists are actioned
• Monitor rosters, attendance and productivity of the team
• Empower individuals to ensure good practices are developed and maintained
• Drive Rooms guest satisfaction by empowering our teams to provide service beyond our guests expectations
• Deliver hands-on supervisory leadership across your areas
• compliance with WHS processes and procedures
• Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure smooth transition of services
• Assist in on-the-job department and staff training
• Promote the company health and well-being processes and procedures

Skills and experience

• Proven experience in a Supervisory role in housekeeping operations in the hotel industry
• Strong leadership skills and a natural flair in motivating others
• A passion for developing your team skills in all aspects of onboarding and training
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills together with our guest service focus
• Your attention to detail is second to none
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work and make decisions under pressure
• The ability to work across a full time schedule
