Job summary

The Fresh Collective at Strathfield Golf Club is seeking an experienced Bistro Operations Lead to oversee Bistro 18 and the Halfway Kiosk, guiding service from the floor and upholding guest experience.

You will manage day-to-day service decisions, coach front-of-house staff, run pre-service briefings, and collaborate with the Venue Manager to ensure safety, presentation and smooth operations. RSA required; rotating day/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Hospitality leadership experience in clubs, cafés or restaurants.
• Hands-on style with strong guest focus.
• RSA certificate required.
• Availability to work rotating day/evening shifts.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Bistro 18 service and maintain a strong, hands-on presence on the floor.
• Make day-to-day service decisions to resolve issues and keep operations running smoothly.
• Supervise and coach the front-of-house team during service.
• Run pre-service briefings and allocate sections, duties and breaks.
• Ensure Bistro 18 is prepared from opening to close and oversee the Halfway Kiosk.
• Manage bookings and large groups, communicating with kitchen and staff.
• Monitor service flow, wait times and guest feedback; address issues promptly.
• Foster relationships with Club members and guests and encourage upselling.
• Maintain presentation, cleanliness, food safety and responsible service of alcohol.
• Support functions and events as required; assist with stock and POS tasks.
