Job summary

RAC WA in Western Australia is seeking a Claims Specialist to support our members during critical times, handling calls and online conversations with empathy while managing a busy caseload on a 12-month contract/secondment.

The role requires strong customer service, negotiation, and analytical skills to review quotes, authorise costs, and settle claims, with hybrid work arrangement and an office in West Perth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Managing an individual caseload of claims through to finalisation.
• Identify potential recovery actions as part of effective claims management.
• Review quotes and authorise repair costs.
• Negotiate settlements for claims.
• Act as a technical referral point for internal teams.
• Provide empathy and handle complex conversations with members.

Join the RAC Insurance Claims team and know you are making a genuine difference to the lives of our members! Our Claims Specialists are responsible for having telephone and online based conversations with our members when they need us most.

We have a full time position available on a 12month Contract/Secondment basis.

We offer attractive working hours which is structured as follows:

Week 1 – 7.30am – 3.30pm (West Perth Office based)

Week 2 – 9.00am – 5.00pm (Working from home)

On a daily basis you will be contributing by:

• Managing an individual caseload of claims through to finalisation
• Identify potential recovery action as part of effective claims management
• Review quotes and authorise repair costs
• Negotiate on settlements for claims
• Act as a technical referral point for internal teams
• Provide empathy, understanding whilst handling complex conversations
• Consistently provide service that exceeds member’s expectations
• Identify continuous improvement initiatives
