Job summary

My Guardian is seeking a compassionate Carer to provide high-quality, person-centred care to clients in Lismore, NSW. The role involves companionship, support with daily activities, and maintaining dignity and independence for clients in a home setting.

You will travel to Lismore, NSW post code 2480, with flexible part-time hours and opportunities for training, development and career progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience providing domestic assistance including cleaning and meal preparation.
• Experience transporting clients to appointments and activities, promoting independence and community engagement.
• Ability to document services and report incidents accurately and in line with regulations.
• Certificate III in Aged/Disability Care or equivalent preferred.
• Current First Aid Certificate and police check or willingness to obtain them.
• NDIS check or willingness to obtain.

• Carry out light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
• Monitor and record changes in clients’ health or behaviour, reporting concerns promptly.

Responsibilities of this role will include, but not limited to:

Offer companionship and emotional support to promote wellbeing and reduce loneliness.

Carry out light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.

Monitor and record changes in clients’ health or behaviour, reporting concerns promptly.

Maintain accurate care records and ensure dignity, privacy, and safeguarding at all times.

Skills, Experiences and Qualifications:

Experience providing domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe home environment.

Experience supporting clients with transport to appointments, shopping, and social activities, promoting independence and community engagement.

Strong ability to accurately document services provided, record incidents, and complete reports in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.

Cert 3 in Aged or Disability Care or equivalent is a plus

A valid NDIS Check, or willing to obtain one

Current First Aid Certificate, as this is necessary to complete personal care

Valid police check, or is willing to obtain one
