Silverchain is seeking a Home Care Worker in Chatswood, NSW, to assist ageing clients at home with daily tasks and personal care. You will join a not-for-profit team dedicated to high-quality care and community support, delivering flexible shifts and ongoing training opportunities.

Applicants should have at least 3 months in a similar role, a valid Open Class Australian Driver's Licence, and a commitment to independence and problem-solving in diverse situations.

Competenze

• 3 months or more experience in a similar care role.
• Open Class Australian Driver's Licence and your own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
• Ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems.

We are looking for people who:

• Enjoy having variety in their day.
• Are passionate about providing an excellent service.
• Can build positive relationships with clients and their families.
• Don’t sweat the small stuff. Sometimes your client will be having a bad day or traffic delays you, but you know not to take this personally and can shake it off before your next client.
• Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help.

In addition, you will need:

• An Open Class Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
• Experience of 3 months or more in a similar role

The role

In the role of Home Care Worker, you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as:

• General housekeeping and making beds.
• Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors.
• Washing, folding and ironing laundry.
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping.
• Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments.
• Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
