Job summary

LiveBetter is seeking Home Care Workers to join our team in Mildura, VIC. This role involves supporting clients in their own homes with personal care, meal prep, transport, and social support.

Permanent, part-time and casual positions are available with a focus on compassionate, person-centred service. We offer induction training, a supportive leadership team, and opportunities for upskilling and career progression.

Qualifications

• Willingness to undertake personal care services with customers.
• Compassionate and able to communicate effectively.
• Able to work well in a team and independently, with some responsibility.
• Flexible in work hours to meet customer needs.
• Fully registered and insured vehicle (as required).
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module completed.
• Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
• Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and willingness to travel as responsibilities require.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care in customers' homes, enhancing daily living and enabling choice and independence.
• Assist with meal preparation and cooking.
• Provide transport to appointments, social activities, and shopping.
• Offer social support and empathetic companionship.
• Perform domestic tasks such as cleaning and laundry as needed.

We have permanent, part-time and casual opportunities in Mildura, VICfor Home Care Workers to join our dynamic team.

In Home Services support people in regional communities across New South Wales and Queensland to live better lives. We empower and support people to lead a happy and independent life, in the comfort of their own home.

What your Day-to-Day will look like:

In this role, you will be invested in providing a person-centered approach to enrich the lives of our customers within their own homes. Identifying and assessing customer needs, we go above and beyond to support them in their day to day living and encourage them to exercise choice and control. Tasks may include but are not limited to:

• Personal care: this may include toileting, bathing, showering, oral hygiene, and other personal hygiene needs
• Meal Preparation: cooking, food preparation and meal planning
• Transport: transport to medical appointments, social engagements, shopping (including assisting with shopping) and other outings as required
• Social Support: welfare checks, fostering meaningful connections, offering empathetic companionship, and maintaining their connection to the community
• Domestic Assistance: duties such as (but not limited to) vacuuming, laundry, general cleaning, dusting, washing dishes, cleaning windows, cleaning carpets, making beds, basic home, and garden maintenance

• Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and willingness to undertake travel in accordance with responsibilities of the role
