Job summary

LiveBetter Aged Care is offering casual Home Care Worker positions in Oberon, New South Wales. You will provide person-centred in-home care to clients across regional communities, supporting daily living activities and promoting independence.

Responsibilities include personal care, meal preparation, transportation, social support, and domestic assistance. A caring, flexible approach and a valid driver’s licence are essential; NDIs orientation, First Aid and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Willingness to undertake personal care services with customers.
• Caring and compassionate approach with effective communication.
• Ability to work in a team and independently with responsibility.
• Flexible in work hours to meet customer needs.
• Fully registered and comprehensively insured vehicle.
• Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’.
• Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
• Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Personal care support including basic grooming and hygiene tasks.
• Meal preparation, cooking, and meal planning for clients.
• Transport to medical appointments and social activities, with shopping support as needed.
• Social support and empathetic companionship to promote independence.
• Domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry, and household tasks.

We have casual opportunities in Oberon, New South Wales for Home Care Workers to join our dynamic team.

In Home Services support people in regional communities across New South Wales and Queensland to live better lives. We empower and support people to lead a happy and independent life, in the comfort of their own home.

What your Day-to-Day will look like

In this role, you will be invested in providing a person-centered approach to enrich the lives of our customers within their own homes. Identifying and assessing customer needs, we go above and beyond to support them in their day to day living and encourage them to exercise choice and control. Tasks may include but are not limited to:

• Personal care: this may include toileting, bathing, showering, oral hygiene, and other personal hygiene needs
• Meal Preparation: cooking, food preparation and meal planning
• Transport: transport to medical appointments, social engagements, shopping (including assisting with shopping) and other outings as required
• Social Support: welfare checks, fostering meaningful connections, offering empathetic companionship, and maintaining their connection to the community
• Domestic Assistance: duties such as (but not limited to) vacuuming, laundry, general cleaning, dusting, washing dishes, cleaning windows, cleaning carpets, making beds, basic home, and garden maintenance
