Job summary

LiveBetter is offering permanent part-time and casual Home Care Worker positions in Orange, NSW. You will provide person-centred in-home support to clients across regional communities, helping with daily living activities while promoting independence and choice.

You must be caring, reliable and able to work flexible hours. The role requires a current First Aid/CPR, an Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the region.

Qualifications

• Willingness to undertake personal care services.
• Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
• Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Personal care: toileting, bathing and hygiene.
• Meal preparation and planning.
• Transport to appointments, shopping and outings.
• Social support and welfare checks to maintain community connection.
• Domestic assistance with cleaning, laundry and home tasks.

What your Day-to-Day will look like:

In this role, you will be invested in providing a person-centered approach to enrich the lives of our customers within their own homes. Identifying and assessing customer needs, we go above and beyond to support them in their day to day living and encourage them to exercise choice and control.

Tasks may include but are not limited to:

• Personal care: this may include toileting, bathing, showering, oral hygiene, and other personal hygiene needs.
• Meal Preparation: cooking, food preparation and meal planning.
• Transport: transport to medical appointments, social engagements, shopping (including assisting with shopping) and other outings as required.
• Social Support: welfare checks, fostering meaningful connections, offering empathetic companionship, and maintaining their connection to the community.
• Domestic Assistance: duties such as (but not limited to) vacuuming, laundry, general cleaning, dusting, washing dishes, cleaning windows, cleaning carpets, making beds, basic home, and garden maintenance.

• Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and willingness to undertake travel in accordance with responsibilities of the role.
• Working with Children's and NDIS Screening checks.
