Job summary

LiveBetter Aged Care is hiring Home Care Workers in Broken Hill, NSW to empower clients to live independently at home. You will provide person-centered support across personal care, meal prep, transport and social needs, in regional communities across NSW and Queensland.

We offer extra hours and weekend shifts, salary packaging, induction training, and opportunities to upskill within the organisation. A compassionate, reliable team player with a current driver’s licence is ideal.

Qualifications

• Willingness to undertake personal care services with customers
• Caring and compassionate approach with the ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently, whilst enjoying a degree of responsibility
• Ability to be flexible in work hours and approach to meet the needs of our customers
• Availability of a fully registered and comprehensively insured vehicle
• Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’
• Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
• Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and willingness to undertake travel in accordance with responsibilities of the role

Responsibilities

• Personal care: toileting, bathing, showering, oral hygiene, and other personal hygiene needs
• Meal Preparation: cooking, food preparation and meal planning
• Transport: transport to medical appointments, social engagements, shopping and other outings as required
• Social Support: welfare checks, fostering meaningful connections, empathetic companionship
• Domestic Assistance: duties such as vacuuming, laundry, general cleaning, dusting, washing dishes, cleaning windows, cleaning carpets, making beds, basic home and garden maintenance

We have several PPT and Casual opportunities in Broken Hill, New South Wales for a Home Care Workers to join our dynamic team.

In Home Services support people in regional communities across New South Wales and Queensland to live better lives. We empower and support people to lead a happy and independent life, in the comfort of their own home.

What your Day-to-Day will look like:

In this role, you will be invested in providing a person-centered approach to enrich the lives of our customers within their own homes. Identifying and assessing customer needs, we go above and beyond to support them in their day to day living and encourage them to exercise choice and control. Tasks may include but are not limited to:

• Personal care: this may include toileting, bathing, showering, oral hygiene, and other personal hygiene needs
• Meal Preparation: cooking, food preparation and meal planning
• Transport: transport to medical appointments, social engagements, shopping (including assisting with shopping) and other outings as required
