Job summary

LiveBetter Aged Care in Forbes, NSW is seeking dedicated Home Care Workers for permanent, part-time positions. You will support regional communities with person-centred care in clients’ homes, including personal care, meal prep, transport and social support.

Ideal candidates hold First Aid and CPR, NDIS orientation, and a valid Australian Driver's Licence. Training, induction, and progression opportunities are provided by a supportive leadership team.

Qualifications

• Empathy, reliability and clear communication with clients and families.
• Flexibility to work part-time across various shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as toileting, bathing and oral hygiene with dignity.
• Prepare meals and assist with planning and cooking.
• Assist with transportation to appointments and social activities.
• Offer social support and companionship to reduce isolation.
• Perform domestic tasks like cleaning and laundry to support independence.

We have permanent, part-time opportunities in Forbes, NSW for Home Care Workers to join our dynamic team.

In Home Services support people in regional communities across New South Wales and Queensland to live better lives. We empower and support people to lead a happy and independent life, in the comfort of their own home.

What your Day-to-Day will look like:

In this role, you will be invested in providing a person-centered approach to enrich the lives of our customers within their own homes. Identifying and assessing customer needs, we go above and beyond to support them in their day to day living and encourage them to exercise choice and control. Tasks may include but are not limited to:

• Personal care: this may include toileting, bathing, showering, oral hygiene, and other personal hygiene needs
• Meal Preparation: cooking, food preparation and meal planning
• Transport: transport to medical appointments, social engagements, shopping (including assisting with shopping) and other outings as required
• Social Support: welfare checks, fostering meaningful connections, offering empathetic companionship, and maintaining their connection to the community
• Domestic Assistance: duties such as (but not limited to) vacuuming, laundry, general cleaning, dusting, washing dishes, cleaning windows, cleaning carpets, making beds, basic home, and garden maintenance

• Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You'
• Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
• Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and willingness to undertake travel in accordance with responsibilities of the role
