Zusammenfassung

Silverchain is hiring Home Care Workers to assist older adults in Sunshine Coast North and South regions, including Caloundra and nearby towns. Roles range from Entry Level to Level 2, with duties such as housekeeping, meal prep, laundry, transport and social support.

Open Driver's Licence and a vehicle are required, with opportunities for accelerated learning and Cert 3 qualifications. Casual and part-time positions come with benefits and salary packaging options.

It takes a special person to be a Home Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their home and enhance their wellbeing. We currently have multiple opportunities to join the Silverchain team in Sunshine Coast north and south regions (North - Coolum Beach, Nambour, Noosaville, Peregian Beach etc...) (South - Buderim, Caloundra, Glenview, Maroochydore etc...).

• Care about assisting our aged community members to live independently at home for longer.
• Don't sweat the small stuff. Sometimes your client will be having a bad day or traffic delays you, but you know not to take this personally and can shake it off before your next client.
• Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help.

In addition, you will need:

• An Open class Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
• An interest in community care or aged care (experience preferred but not essential).

The role

In the role of Home Care Worker you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services, such as: (Entry Level)

• General housekeeping and making beds
• Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors
• Washing, folding and ironing laundry
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping
• Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activitiesHelping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.

For Level 2 Home Care Worker you will be providing our aged care clients with domestic & personal care services:

• General housekeeping and making beds.
• Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors.
• Washing, folding and ironing laundry.
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping.
• Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day.
• Assisting clients to take their medications.
• Assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
• Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia.
• Providing social and emotional support.5
• Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments.
• Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
