Silverchain Group in Picton, NSW, is seeking a Care Worker to help older members of the community maintain independence and wellbeing. The role requires a minimum of 3 months in a similar role, with personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications experience.

You will provide in-home assistance including housekeeping, meal prep and personal care. A valid NSW driver's licence and access to a insured vehicle are required; you will work independently and support families through

Competenze

• At least 3 months experience in a similar professional role with personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications.
• A valid Australian Driver's Licence and your own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
• Able to work independently and communicate with clients and their families.

Mansioni

Job Description

It takes a special person to be a Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their independence and wellbeing. We are looking for a person with at least 3 months experience in a similar professional role, to join the Silverchain team in Picton and surrounding areas.

• Don’t sweat the small stuff. Sometimes your client will be having a bad day or traffic delays you, but you know not to take this personally and can shake it off before your next client.
• Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help.

In Addition, You Will Need

• A valid Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
• Experience of 3 months or more in a similar professional role, with experience in with personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications.

The role

In the role of Care Worker you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as:

• General housekeeping and making beds
• Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors
• Washing, folding and ironing laundry
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping.

You will also be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as:

• Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day
• Assisting clients to take their medications
• Assisting with mobility and therapy goals
• Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
• Providing social and emotional support
• Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments
• Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
