Job summary

Australian Unity Limited seeks Home Care Support Workers in Moama and Deniliquin for in-home roles to help customers live independently. The position is Permanent Part-Time (15 hours a week) with a competitive hourly rate and travel allowances, plus induction and uniform provided.

Responsibilities include home help, transportation and personal care, client relationship-building, and safe care delivery in line with guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have either an approved qualification or 12+ months experience in a support worker or AIN role.
• Current Australian Driver’s License and ownership of a reliable comprehensively insured vehicle.

• Transportation and Personal Care: assist customers with appointments, shopping, social outings, showering, toileting, feeding etc.
• Client Awareness: building relationships with clients and their families, conducting client observations with ongoing support and training

Job description

Our Home Health program delivers in-home support services to our aged care customers to help them live independently, supported and empowered, within their own homes and communities.

We are seeking Home Care Support Workers in both Moama and Deniliquin with some outreach work in surrounding areas.

• Contract Type: Permanent Part-Time (15 hours per week depending on candidate availability)
• $36.42 to $36.59/hour (dependent on experience) + 12% super + travel allowance of $0.92 per KM + paid travel time

Your New Role

• Client Awareness: Building relationships with clients and their families, conducting client observations with ongoing support and training
• Safety Practices: Adhering to health and safety guidelines and policies to keep yourself and our customers safe

Key Requirements

• Must have either an approved qualification or 12+ months experience in a support worker or AIN role.
• Current Australian Driver’s License and ownership of a reliable comprehensively insured vehicle
• Flexibility and availability to work rosters between Monday to Friday
