Job summary

Australian Unity Home Health in Ballarat, Victoria, is seeking experienced Personal Care Workers to support older Australians at home with personal care, mobility assistance and domestic tasks. This permanent part-time role offers paid leave entitlements, travel time between visits, a company phone, and comprehensive training.

You will provide personal care, domestic support and social companionship, helping clients maintain independence and wellbeing in their own homes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience in personal care in aged care, disability or hospital settings.
• Qualification in Aged Care, Disability or Home & Community Care.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence (International licence not accepted).
• Comprehensively insured vehicle.

About the Role

As a Personal Care Worker, you'll support older Australians to remain independent at home through a combination of personal care and domestic assistance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Personal care and mobility support
• Domestic duties including cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
• Social support and companionship
• Promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing

Please note: Domestic assistance is an important part of this role and may form a regular component of customer visits.

About You

We're seeking experienced carers who genuinely enjoy working one-on-one with older people in the community.

To be successful, you will have:

• A minimum of 12 months' experience providing personal care in aged care, disability or hospital settings and/or a qualification in Aged Care, Disability or Home & Community Care
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A passion for supporting older Australians to live independently at home
• A current Australian Driver's Licence (International licence not accepted)
• A comprehensively insured vehicle

Availability Requirements

• Supporting customers across Ballarat and surrounding areas
• Available to work at least 6 hours per day across a minimum of 3 weekdays
• Available across service hours of 7:00am to 6:00pm
• Commit to our paid 2-week Brilliant@Basics Training Program when you commence
