Randstad Australia is seeking a driven Recruitment Specialist for our Trades & Labor desk in Canberra. You will oversee a high-volume 360-degree recruitment process, focusing on the construction sector and balancing fast-paced temp roles with strategic temp-to-perm conversions.

You will source and screen candidates, engage with site managers, and drive new business through cold calls and client visits. A strong commercial mindset and excellent communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Background in recruitment, retail, industrial sales, or high-volume customer service.

Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage candidate sourcing, interviewing, client account management and direct sales.
• Candidate Sourcing & Screening: Proactively source candidates via LinkedIn, Seek, and referrals; conduct interviews to maintain a strong pipeline.
• Client Engagement: Build relationships with site managers and decision-makers; conduct 2–5 face-to-face client visits per week.
• Driving Business Development: Actively hunt for new clients through cold calling and targeted outreach.
• Managing Client Portfolios: Grow a warm portfolio and expand accounts through onsite visits.
