Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking a motivated Help Desk Support professional to provide Level 1 IT support in a major distribution company. This 5-week contract role is fully onsite near Brisbane Port Area, with rotating day/night/weekend shifts and immediate start.

You’ll troubleshoot in a Microsoft environment and assist with inventory, documentation, and daily IT operations. Ideal candidates have 6–12+ months in Level 1 IT support, strong communication skills, and access to reliable transport.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Level 1 IT help desk or desktop support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Willing to work rotating day, night and weekend shifts onsite for the contract duration.
• Excellent communication and proactive attitude.
• Must live close to the site and have reliable transport.
• IT-related qualification (degree or current study) is a plus.

Help Desk Support - Major distribution company

URGENT 5-weeks Contract opportunity

Rate: $35-$42 per hour including Super

Must reside within 20-30 mins from Brisbane Port Area, QLD (100% Onsite Setup)

Ability to start immediately

We are seeking a motivated Help Desk Support professional to provide Level 1 IT support, troubleshooting, and operational assistance in a Microsoft environment. This is an opportunity for someone with foundational IT experience to grow their skills while contributing to a collaborative team working fully onsite on a rotating shift roster.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide basic IT helpdesk support, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
• Support and maintain cabling organisation to ensure a clean and efficient work environment
• Assist with stock control, inventory counts, and audit support activities
• Document issues, solutions, and support activities accurately for future reference
• Work collaboratively with the team to support day-to-day IT operations in a Microsoft environment

Key Requirements

• At least 6-12+ months experience in a Level 1 IT Help Desk, Desktop Support, or similar support role
• Solid IT support and troubleshooting skills (Level 1)
• Must be fully available to work rotating day, night, and weekend shifts for the entire contract duration and can work 100% onsite
• Must have strong communication and customer service skills with a proactive, can-do attitude
• Must live within close proximity to the site and have access to reliable personal transport
• IT-related qualification (degree or currently studying) is a plus
