Virgin Active in Sydney is looking for a Head of Department to lead and uplift a high-performing team, shaping culture and delivering outstanding member experiences. You will recruit, coach and develop your people, translate budgets into team priorities and drive revenue and KPIs across the club while ensuring safety, brand standards and excellent member service seven days a week.

This role requires hands-on leadership, strong people skills and a strategic mindset to partner across departments

Formación

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in personal training or fitness sales.
• Cert IV in Fitness and first aid; ability to obtain Working with Children Check if required.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the club’s PT sales rhythm, ensuring consistent prospecting, consultations and follow-up activity to achieve agreed revenue targets.
• Maintain visibility of the Fitness Coach team, ensuring opportunities are tracked and progressed with accountability.
• Coach and develop personal trainers in consultation skills, sales conversations and retention behaviours to lift conversion and member results.
• Embed consistent consultation and onboarding standards so every PT client experiences a professional, motivating start in accordance with Virgin Active policies and procedures.
• Monitor PT revenue performance against targets, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions to maintain momentum.
• Drive disciplined follow-up practices to maximise enquiry-to-client and renewal outcomes.
• Support trainers to build sustainable client bases through structured activity planning and performance expectations.
