Job summary

Virgin Active Sydney is seeking a Head of Department to lead your club's teams and deliver exceptional member experiences. You will shape culture, drive performance, and balance five pillars of leadership across People, Commercial, Operational, Service and Membership Sales.

You will recruit, coach and develop staff, manage rosters and budgets, and partner with other departments to grow membership and revenue while maintaining safety and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Leadership across five pillars: People, Commercial, Operational, Service, Membership Sales.
• Experience in running high-performing teams in customer-facing environments.
• Budgeting, rostering and KPI management.
• Data-driven decision making and cross-department collaboration.
• Proven track record in driving member acquisition and revenue.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop your team with regular feedback and growth plans.
• Maintain high standards of service and brand across the club.
• Manage rosters, budgets and labour to achieve targets.
• Drive member experience and nurture premium service interactions.
• Oversee membership sales processes and pipeline management.
• Partner with other departments to grow revenue and retention.
