Oxley Christian College in Croydon North VIC, outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne, invites applications for Head of Learning Enhancement - Junior School. The role is full-time and commences in January 2027, overseeing Learning Enhancement across Prep to Year 6 and supporting students with diverse learning needs.

The successful candidate leads the Learning Enhancement Team, collaborates with staff and parents, and ensures ILPs and MCPs align with the Australian Curriculum and NCCD.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Special Education or related degree.
• High level communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using technology for teaching and reporting.
• Ability to cultivate a positive student culture.
• Commitment to Christian Education and the College’s Vision and Mission.
• Willingness to adhere to College policies including Child Safe Practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Junior School Learning Enhancement Programs.
• Provide support to Learning Enhancement Team and teachers.
• Knowledge of Australian Curriculum and the NCCD.
• Manage referrals and screening tool assessments.
• Oversee identification process for program access.
• Coordinate meetings with parents and staff.
• Support transitions for students to next year level.
• Document confidential records of planning and meetings.
