Job summary

HostYou is a growing short-term rental management company managing a portfolio of premium holiday homes across Perth. We're looking for an experienced, hands-on and highly organised Head of Housekeeping to lead our housekeeping department and ensure every property consistently meets the high standards our guests and owners expect.

Qualifications

• Experience managing housekeeping/hospitality teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and quality audits.
• Ensure every property is guest-ready prior to arrival.
• Investigate and resolve quality issues.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives across the department.
• Work closely with the Operations team on arrivals, departures, guest requests and operational priorities including the reporting of any maintenance issues.
• Manage housekeeping schedules and daily workflow.
• Coordinate emergency cleans and last-minute changes.
• Monitor and manage linen, consumables and housekeeping inventory.
• Ensure all housekeeping tasks and inspections are completed accurately and on time.
• Develop and refine housekeeping procedures and standards.
• Improve efficiencies and team productivity.
• Monitor department KPIs and performance metrics.
• Build scalable systems to support company growth.

Head Of Housekeeping & Property Standards

$75,000 – $80,000 per year plus company vehicle

HostYou is a growing short-term rental management company managing a portfolio of premium holiday homes across Perth.

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on and highly organised Head of Housekeeping to lead our housekeeping department and ensure every property consistently meets the high standards our guests and owners expect.

This is a key leadership role within our business. You will be responsible for the performance, growth and success of the entire housekeeping function while working closely with the rest of Operations team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

About the Role

As Head of Housekeeping, you will oversee all aspects of the housekeeping department, including recruitment, training, quality control, inspections, scheduling, performance management, inventory management and process improvement.

You will lead a team of cleaners and contractors across multiple locations while ensuring strong communication and collaboration with the Operations team to keep properties guest-ready and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

Lead, support and develop the housekeeping team

About You

You are a natural leader with strong organisational skills and a commitment to high standards.

You enjoy solving problems, taking ownership and creating structure. You're equally comfortable supporting your team in the field, conducting inspections and working collaboratively with Operations to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience managing a housekeeping, hospitality, accommodation or cleaning team

Strong leadership and people management skills

Experience recruiting, training and developing staff

Excellent organisational and scheduling abilities

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

High attention to detail

Current driver's licence

Hotel, serviced apartment or accommodation industry experience

Quality assurance or auditing experience

Experience using scheduling or workflow software

Available to work a rotating roster that includes weekends and public holidays
