Job summary

Clean Stays is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead operations across two portfolios in Far North Queensland. You will supervise casual and part-time staff, coordinate workloads, and ensure guest-ready presentation standards across properties managed by the Northern Beaches and Cairns City teams.

You will train new staff, conduct quality checks, and report to the Operations Director. A Driver's Licence and strong English communication are essential for success in this role.

Job Description

Overview The Housekeeping Supervisor leads and coordinates Clean Stays' housekeeping operations across two property teams — Northern Beaches and Cairns City — ensuring guest-ready presentation standards are consistently met. The role supervises casual and part-time housekeeping staff, trains and mentors new employees, and reports through a matrix structure to the company's Director and Company Secretary.

Key Duties

Team Supervision & Coordination Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the housekeeping team across both the Northern Beaches and Cairns City portfolios.

Allocate workloads and rosters across approximately 3–6 casual/part-time staff per team, including during peak season.

Quality Control & Standards Conduct quality inspections of serviced properties against Clean Stays' guest-readiness checklist.

Identify and resolve property presentation issues prior to guest arrival.

Training & Mentoring Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning standards, safety procedures and guest-service expectations.

Mentor new employees, working alongside the Administration Manager on onboarding.

Guest Experience Standards Ensure all managed properties meet guest-readiness standards prior to check-in.

Administration & Reporting Report property management and cleaning operations matters to Operations Director. Report stock, orders, timesheets, payroll hours and staffing issues to Administration Manager.

Requirements

Requirements Essential Criteria Demonstrated experience in a housekeeping supervisory or team-leader role.

Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Ability to train and motivate a team across two concurrent property portfolios. Physical capacity to perform housekeeping duties.

Effective written and verbal communication in English. Australian Driver's Licence.

Desirable Criteria

Desirable Criteria Experience in short-term or holiday accommodation. Formal hospitality or housekeeping qualification. Experience with property-management or task-scheduling software.

Salary & Conditions

Base Salary: $79,423.00 per annum, exclusive of superannuation Superannuation: 12% (current Superannuation Guarantee rate)
