Job summary

Arcare Aged Care is seeking a Head Chef to lead all kitchen operations and deliver nutritious, tasty meals for residents. You will manage kitchen staff, oversee food preparation, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and quality.

We look for someone with a Certificate III/IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) and Food Safety Supervisor Certification, plus leadership, teamwork and adaptability to support a compassionate, resident‑focused dining program.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead a kitchen team and ensure high food quality.
• Strong understanding of food safety and HACCP principles.
• Experience in menu planning and cost control in a residential care setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen operations and staff.
• Plan nutritious, diverse menus suitable for residents.
• Monitor food safety, quality, and portion sizes.
• Manage inventory and budget to minimize waste.
