Job summary

The Sporting Globe is opening its biggest venue yet in Greensborough, Melbourne. We’re seeking a Head Chef who can build the kitchen from day one, lead a high-calibre BOH team, and drive top-quality, high-volume service across game days and busy periods.

You’ll recruit, coach and develop staff, own kitchen operations, and partner with the Venue Manager to deliver exceptional dining experiences while maintaining food safety and cost controls.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a high‑volume kitchen and managing food costs.
• Ability to recruit, coach and develop a kitchen team from day one.
• Proven capability to maintain food safety and standards under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, lead, coach and develop a high performing kitchen team.
• Take ownership of a large, high volume kitchen operation.
• Deliver consistent, quality food when the venue is absolutely pumping.
• Manage food costs, labour, stock, ordering and kitchen performance.
• Keep food safety, compliance and kitchen standards sharp.
• Work closely with the Venue Manager and leadership team.
• Build a kitchen culture people want to be part of.
