Job summary

The Sporting Globe in Surfers Paradise is seeking a Head Chef to lead a high-volume kitchen and deliver exceptional food on game days and major events. Take ownership of operations, manage costs, inventory and staff, and maintain food safety and kitchen standards while building a positive team culture.

You will partner with the Venue Manager and leadership team to drive performance, training, and career development for your kitchen crew.

Qualifications

• You’re an experienced Head Chef or a seriously strong Sous Chef ready for the next challenge.
• You know how to lead a high volume kitchen, manage the numbers and still care about what goes over the pass.
• You can build a team, develop people and keep standards high when the pressure is on.
• Most importantly, you lead from the front.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a large, high volume kitchen operation.
• Deliver consistent, quality food when the venue is absolutely pumping.
• Manage food costs, labour, stock, ordering and kitchen performance.
• Keep food safety, compliance and kitchen standards sharp.
• Work closely with the Venue Manager and leadership team.
• Build a kitchen culture people want to be part of.
