Job summary

Point Hotel is seeking an experienced Head Bartender to lead the bar team and deliver precise, high-quality cocktails across outlets such as KIN Bar & Dining and Aira. You will guide service, mentor the team and uphold beverage standards in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to Bars Manager, you’ll develop menus, supervise opening/closing, and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining safety and cleanliness across the beverage operation.

Qualifications

• Senior or head bartender experience
• Experience in high-volume bar and function service
• Excellent knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits and modern techniques
• RSA qualification is mandatory
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

Responsibilities

• Lead bartenders and barbacks during service, coordinating with supervisors and floor team
• Execute Aira cocktail menu to exact specifications and maintain standards across outlets
• Deliver consistent cocktail quality, presentation and efficient service
• Oversee batching, prep and mise en place including garnishes and syrups
• Keep the bar organized, clean and ready for service
• Monitor stock, manage par levels and assist with ordering to minimise wastage
• Train and mentor bartenders in techniques, specifications and procedures
• Support Bars Manager with cocktail development and menu implementation
• Complete opening and closing procedures to high standards
• Engage with guests, share product knowledge and resolve service concerns
• Adhere to responsible service and workplace safety requirements

About us

Point Hotel has been completely transformed, and we’re entering an exciting new chapter.

At the heart of that transformation is Aira, our brand-new rooftop bar, alongside our established KIN Bar & Dining and a growing calendar of functions and events.

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Head Bartender to lead our bar team during service and deliver exceptional cocktails with precision, consistency and flair. You’ll spend significant time at KIN while also supporting Aira and our other beverage operations.

Reporting to the Bars Manager, you’ll bring strong technical skills, guide the team and contribute to the continued development of our beverage offering.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading bartenders and barbacks during service, working closely with supervisors and the floor team
• Executing Aira’s cocktail menu to exact specifications and maintaining beverage standards across our outlets
• Delivering consistent cocktail quality, presentation and efficient service
• Overseeing batching, cocktail preparation and mise en place, including garnishes, syrups and infusions
• Keeping the bar organised, clean and ready for service
• Monitoring stock and par levels, assisting with ordering and minimising wastage
• Training and mentoring bartenders in cocktail techniques, specifications and service procedures
• Supporting the Bars Manager with cocktail development and menu implementation
• Completing bar opening and closing procedures to a high standard
• Engaging with guests, sharing your product knowledge and resolving service concerns
• Following responsible service, food hygiene and workplace safety requirements

You’ll bring:

• Strong bartending experience, ideally in a senior or head bartender role
• Experience in high-volume bar and function service
• Excellent knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits and modern cocktail techniques
• Leadership skills and experience training and supporting a bar team
• The ability to maintain speed without compromising quality
• Strong organisation, preparation skills and attention to detail
• Confident communication and a warm, professional approach to guests
• High standards of personal presentation and pride in your work
• A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) qualification
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
